The meeting began at 7:30 PM with prayer scripture and listening post.
The Treasurer’s report was presented
The rector let us know that the front steps of our church were hit by a car and that repairs will be needed.
Baxter reported that the Audit took place and we are waiting for the report from Karen Stewart.
Senior Warden reports 34 children are participating in VBS. The young persons and preschool parents have really pitched in this year to make it happen.
Pounder has some personal physical stuff dealing with and may be also gone some in July.
Junior Warden reports stripping should take place soon and that he can install the hood when it arrives.
We should also have the cross repaired as soon as the insurance frees the money. Craig will do a roof inspection and tend to loose flashing and resealing the sky lights.
Admin report: Discretionary Fund scamming getting more prevalent.
O’Dell made motion to accept the Co-Rector proposal and to move forward with implementation. Boyer seconded it.
Baxter spoke to Stewart Wright Director of Human Resources at the Diocese regarding our proposal and the contracts by the 1st of September. With part time rectors an annual review is required.
Mutual Ministry review is required by diocese Vestry, Rectors, Congregation has to review.
Committee will be Stuart-Paul, Pounder, Baxter, Kubicek, Kohn, and Stuart Wright.
Pounder- Comments she has garnered. If someone leaves does the other become in charge. Is there mediator solution if there are irreconcilable issues?
Kubicek there is a plan in place in the diocese if needed.
Vestry approved with on nay by G Mitchell and one abstention A Mitchell
Diane Six from Guest and New Members shared proposal to redo out door signs and add indoor signage.
Hager proposes that we do the outdoor signs and we do the installation ourselves.
G Mitchell seconded.
Richard pointed out we need an additional handicapped signs to get people to the parking.
Vestry discussed how many and where signs placed.
Angela asked if it would be possible to get the garden weeded.
Baxter pointed out we need that we to have a plan for the budget and stick with it.
August 22 is the Crab Feast.
September 13, 19 potential dates for Pig Roast.
Shaw reminds us Kim Coble is coming Sunday.
