Vestry Minutes 9/14/09

Present: Schnorrenberg, Kohn, Boyer, O’Dell, Francis, Kubicek, Pounder, Hager, A. Hager, G, French, Baxter, A. Mitchell

Absent: Samuel, G. Mitchell, Stuart-Paul,

The meeting began at 7:32 PM with prayer, scripture, and listening post.

Guy Hager making a proposal to make a special fund to raise money to repair the stained glass windows in the church guy would look primarily for people outside the parish to help fund this perhaps descendents of the memorials. Approx cost is 10,000. ½ for St. Peter to be repaired and the other half for the smaller windows
A. Hager made a motion to open discussion. Baxter seconded
Discussion ensued.
Vestry voted to create a special fund for restoring the windows and for Hager to be the point person to raise the money.

Vestry accepted the minutes.

Treasurer presented his report.

Co-Rectors report –Kubicek is working on railings on our hall steps and a bars in bathrooms. New Korean congregation is possibly coming.
Cross on the steeple has become more complicated

Co-Rector report –Kohn painting of the office and getting settled in her new role

Senior Warden thanks to Schnorrenberg and Diane Six for the parish directory, finishing the kitchen and signs. Get people to come to the retreat.

Jennie Boyer Christian Ed Liaison said that Jesse needs a ride and a place to stay. Schnorrenberg volunteered

Schnorrenberg presented an estimate from sign-a-rama regarding the replacement and new installation of outside signs.

Shaw motion and Hager second to discuss the signs. Discussion ensued.
Motion to spend the money on the signs passed with one abstention by French and one no by Baxter.

John French to start recruitment of vestry and revision of vestry by-laws. Shaw, Baxter and G Mitchell to assist with recruitment.

Baxter expounded on the up coming parish retreat.

Baxter needs stretch budget wish list items sent to him two weeks from tonight.

Pounder requested mutual ministry information for next meeting and how can we evaluate and judge the health of St. Peter’s.

The meeting ended at 9:05 PM with Eucharist
